H & S Joinery Limited recognise the need to source materials from renewable resources, thus safeguarding the environment and future economic growth.
Timber Sources
H & S Joinery endeavour to purchase Hardwood and Softwood timber wherever practicable from timber sources governed by an Environmental Certification Scheme such as FSC®, PEFC, and SFI etc and strive to have this information regularly verified by our suppliers. H & S Joinery will not purchase timber from sources that are known to be from illegally logged areas and will also not purchase any timbers that come under Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trading on Endangered Species (CITIES). H & S Joinery will in all cases avoid making misleading claims with regard to the sources of our timber and expect all our suppliers to inform us of any changes to their environmental policies.Recycling of Timber Waste and associated items
H & S Joinery Limited endeavours to use or recycle as much generated waste as possible with all timber waste either solid or shavings being recycled into Board materials such as chipboard and MDF. Hazardous wastes such as lacquers and thinners are recycled to be used again. H & S Joinery have a policy of not rejecting timber solely due to its colour and appearance and will endeavour always to use and select timber for its most economical and environmental benefit.
Future Improvement
H & S Joinery Limited will always look for a more environmentally friendly method of production and waste management with emphasis on recycling and renewable resources.
